Quality and Food SafetyThe company always cares about its products quality and food safety, because it believes that is the real key for customer’s loyalty. This department established and equipped with latest instruments, equipments, provided with well trained staff to ensure that production processes safe and in control, and this department consists of three sections, which are:
QUALITY ASSURANCE SECTION: this section assures the flow of the supply chain of raw materials, finished goods, production operations, warehousing and transportation to be in control and safe.
Laboratory SECTION: this lab developed to experiment, examine raw materials, if its within our specifications (CODEX, Gulf region), and products through the production process assuring if that they meets the accepted standards, and divided in to two parts, the first for physical, chemical experiments, and the second for microbiological experiments.
FOOD SAFETY: Recently foods safety became a major concern to YCIC; in March 2005 the company obtained HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) and considered the first company in the field of producing bakeries and confectionaries in Yemen who applies it. This management system in which food safety is addressed through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement and handling to manufacturing, distribution, and consumptions the finished products.
